Too Busy to Workout? Well thats no longer an excuse with the Bangkok Fitness "Body Blitz" What if you could get an effective workout in 30-to-45 minutes? Everyone seems to think that if they don't have an hour or more, than its not worth working out. Does something magical happen at 60 minutes? The answer, of course, is "NO". Our bodies are responsive to exercise on a continuum, not on a time-based threshold. An effective workout can be had in any amount of time over 20 minutes, its just how you manipulate the variables of the workout. At Bangkok Fitness we use our "Body Blitz" format of workout to maximize the benefits to you in as little as 30 minutes. This format generally consists of 20 minutes of weight-training and 10 minutes of cardio and plyometrics. Yes only 30 minutes, but a very strong and challenging 30 minutes. Generally, people don't need more time, they just need more intensity in their workouts. The body responds much more to intensity than it does to the duration of a workout. Additionally, A more intense workout burns more calories per minute, promotes an anaerobic response and will ultimately result in a much stronger post workout reaction. By alternating lower and upper body resistant training in the first segment of the body blitz, each body part can be hit faster, more intensely and with added variety. For most clients, variety is a key in keeping the exercise routine "fresh" while limiting the impact on joints and connective tissue during resistance training. The cardio-plyometric segment though only 10 minutes, is very challenging and a great finisher for the overall body blitz effect. After exhausting the muscles throughout the body during the weight-lifting segment, now we hit the overall body with aerobic-cardio combinations that force the body to dig out its reserves both at the muscular and cardiovascular level--a real double YAMMY! Intensity need not be a scary word here. This workout is not like bodybuilding-style routines where a high degree of muscular overload is present. The Bangkok Fitness "Body Blitz" is just hitting your body with a bit more than it's used to, while utiltizing a highly efficient format thats real-life fitness for the average person.
